This Cookie Policy explains how Bilo Tech Ltd ("TurnUp", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on turnup.show and our booking pages. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site recognize your device across requests — for example, to keep you signed in. We use the term "cookies" in this Policy to also cover similar technologies such as browser local storage.
We keep our cookie use deliberately minimal. TurnUp currently uses only strictly necessary cookies — the kind that are required for the Service to function and that do not need your consent under applicable law (such as the EU ePrivacy Directive/GDPR or similar rules elsewhere). We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token (and related Supabase auth cookies) | Keeps you signed in to your TurnUp account and identifies which account is making a request. | Strictly necessary, first-party | Session / up to the length of your login session |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | Used only during the sign-up-verification and password-reset flow, to securely complete the linked email step. | Strictly necessary, first-party | Short-lived — cleared once the flow completes or expires |
We do not set any advertising, analytics, or social-media cookies. Cookie names shown above use Supabase's standard naming convention (the "*" is replaced by a project identifier); their function does not change.
If you install TurnUp as an app on your device or enable notifications, your browser stores a push-notification subscription (managed by your browser/device's own push service, such as those provided by Google, Apple, or Mozilla) so we can send you a notification about your Bookings. This is not a cookie, but functions similarly and is entirely within your control — you can revoke notification permission at any time in your browser or device settings.
Some parts of the Service hand off to a third-party domain that may set its own cookies under its own policy — for example, Stripe's or Paystack's hosted checkout page during an automated Deposit payment, or Google Maps when a Business User searches for their location. Those cookies are governed by the relevant provider's own cookie/privacy policy, not this one.
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from staying signed in and from completing a sign-up or password-reset flow — the Service will not work correctly without them. We therefore don't provide an in-app cookie-preferences toggle today, since there is nothing optional to turn off; if we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will add one.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, there is currently nothing for such a signal to disable, and we do not respond to it differently.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce a new category of cookie. We will post the updated Policy with a new "Last updated" date.
