Is my client's deposit safe with you?
It never touches us. Deposits settle directly to your own Stripe or Paystack account — TurnUp is the platform in between, not the merchant of record. We can't hold, delay, or lose funds we never had.
What happens if a client starts paying and disappears?
Their slot is held for 10 minutes with a visible countdown while they pay — long enough for a real checkout, short enough that it can't quietly block your calendar. If it times out, the slot releases automatically and it's fair game again.
Do I need an app or website to get started?
No — your booking page is just a link (turnup.show/your-business) that works in any browser. You can optionally install TurnUp itself to your phone's home screen for push notifications, but nothing about client booking requires it.
I'm not on Stripe or Paystack yet — can I still collect deposits?
Yes. You can turn on manual deposit mode with your own payment instructions (bank transfer, mobile money) and confirm receipt yourself with one tap — or connect a real payout account right from Settings when you're ready for it to run automatically.
What does the verified badge actually check?
A verified business has submitted an ID document and a short video of their premises for our team to manually review — it's a real human check, not just a checkbox, so it means something to a client seeing it for the first time.
